Volvo V40 Cross Country confirmed for mid-March launch in India.

 The V40 Cross Country sold in Europe is available with 2-litre and 2.5-litre engines producing 210PS and 250PS of power receptively. There’s also a 2-litre, 5-cylinder diesel model putting out 180PS of power and 400Nm of torque.  Given the current scenario, Volvo India is likely to bring the diesel powered model first before the rest of the range comes in. The V40 Cross Country will be sold as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) however; Volvo is likely to price it lower than either of its two rivals – the Q3 and the X1 to give it a fighting chance..

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean: HTC One X India Users Getting OTA Update.

The update also brings HTC’s new updated Sense UI to the One X called Sense 4+ along with the Google Now voice-recognition system – a digital search assistant designed to compete with Apple’s Siri. Ajmal Amir Kasab hanged at Pune's Yerawada Jail.

Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving Pakistani terrorist of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, was hanged at Pune's Yerawada Jail on Wednesday morning, a top official said.

"Yes, Kasab has been hanged this (Wednesday) morning at 7.30 a.m. in Yerawada Central Jail," Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, who led the 26/11 terror attacks case, said..

"The more ways you have of expressing input into smartphones the better," said Joseph Paradiso at the MIT Media Lab in Boston, who has worked on similar technology. The reason: Apple's new smartphone does not support the TDD or 'time division duplex' version of LTE technology that powers 4G networks in India, but runs on its older and more globally trusted variant, FDD or 'frequency duplex division', deployed by most 4G operators in the US and Europe. As a result, the iPhone 5 supports LTE or 'long term evolution' technology only on the 1.8 GHz band and not on the 2300 MHz band frequencies auctioned in India two years ago.
